Mission and values
Everything we do at Koji Academy is guided by a clear mission and a set of values that put young people first.
To give every young person access to the education they deserve
We focus on the whole child, not just academic outcomes. Our programmes are built around a Personalised Learning Environment where wellbeing and academic success grow together. We recognise that a young person cannot reach their potential unless they feel safe, understood and supported.
What we stand for
Everything we do is guided by five core values.
Empower
We empower every young person to believe in their own potential and build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Embrace
We embrace difference. Every learner's unique needs, strengths and identity are celebrated, not just accommodated.
Advocate
We advocate for every young person in our care — ensuring their voice is heard and their rights are upheld.
Collaborate
We collaborate closely with families, schools and local authorities. The best outcomes happen when everyone works together.
Secure
We create safe, secure and consistent learning environments where young people feel valued, supported and ready to grow.
Frequently asked questions
Our mission is to give every young person access to the education they deserve. We focus on the whole child — not just academic outcomes — building support around wellbeing and academic success together.
It means that every aspect of a young person's support is built around them specifically — their pace, their strengths, their needs and their goals. We never apply a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our five values — Empower, Embrace, Advocate, Collaborate and Secure — are not just words. They guide every decision we make, from how we match pupils with educators to how we communicate with families and schools.
Creating safe, secure and consistent learning environments is central to everything we do. All of our educators are DBS checked, trained in safeguarding and experienced in working with young people who have experienced trauma or anxiety.
Always. We believe the best outcomes happen when families, schools and local authorities are all working together. We actively involve families at every stage of the process.
We are committed to evidence-based practice. We provide structured progress reports, aligned with the SEND Code of Practice, that give families, schools and local authorities clear evidence that our support is working.

We are always looking for people who are as passionate about SEN education as we are.
