Koji Academy is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, learning differences and other access needs.

We want every visitor — whether a student, parent, school or local authority — to be able to use this site fully and independently.

Conformance Status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

We have built this site with accessibility at its core, including:

  • A built-in accessibility toolbar allowing you to adjust text size, contrast, fonts and colour schemes
  • A dyslexia-friendly font option (OpenDyslexic)
  • A reading guide (line focus tool)
  • Dark mode and high contrast mode
  • Full keyboard navigation support throughout the site
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Skip to main content link at the top of every page
  • Breadcrumb navigation on all inner pages
  • All images include descriptive alternative text
  • Colour choices meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • No content relies on colour alone to convey meaning
  • No flashing content or animations that could trigger seizures
  • All forms have clearly labelled fields and visible error messages

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility may not yet be fully met:

  • Some older content may not yet have been fully reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
  • The three user portals (Student, Teacher and Parent) are managed by a separate development team. We have shared our accessibility requirements with them but cannot guarantee their conformance at this time.

We are actively working to address these limitations and welcome reports of any issues.
